The GetResponse free plan in 2026
This page contains paid links. We get commissions for purchases made through them, at no extra cost to you.
Short answer
You get 1,000 contacts, unlimited monthly sends and unlimited landing pages — but every message carries a GetResponse badge, landing pages are throttled at 1,000 visitors a month, there is no website builder, and automation works without dynamic segmentation. It is a genuine free tier, not a countdown. It stops making sense the moment you start selling something.
What you get
| ✓ 1,000 contacts | Enough to validate an idea or run a small list for months before cost enters the picture. |
| ✓ Unlimited monthly sends | Unusual at this tier — most free plans cap sends, not just contacts. |
| ✓ Unlimited landing pages | Capped at 1,000 unique visitors per month, which is the real limit. |
| ✓ Automation workflows | Available, but without dynamic segmentation — you can trigger, not slice. |
| ✓ Sign-up forms | Enough to collect addresses from a site you already have. |
What you do not get
| ✗ No website builder | Reserved for the Creator tier. If you have no site yet, this is the gap. |
| ✗ GetResponse badge on messages | On every email you send. Removing it requires a paid plan. |
| ✗ No dynamic segmentation | You cannot build audiences from behaviour — only static lists. |
| ✗ Landing pages throttled | 1,000 unique visitors a month across all pages, not per page. |
| ✗ Premium features expire | The first 14 days include premium access as a trial; after that the account drops to free. |
Where the line sits
The free tier is unusually generous on volume and deliberately thin on credibility and targeting. That is not an accident — those are the two things you will pay to fix.
If you are building a list ahead of a product, the badge costs you nothing and 1,000 contacts will take a while to fill. If you are already asking people for money, the badge is working against you on every single send, and static lists mean you email everyone the same thing whether they opened the last five messages or none.

Common questions
Is the GetResponse free plan really free, or is it a trial?
Both, in sequence. New accounts get 14 days with premium features. When that ends the account does not close — it drops to the free tier and keeps working, with the limits listed above.
Who should stay on the free plan?
Anyone under 1,000 contacts who already has a website and does not mind the badge. If you are collecting your first few hundred addresses while you figure out what to send them, paying is premature.
Who should skip it and pay from day one?
Anyone selling something. The badge on every message undercuts a paid offer, and dynamic segmentation — the ability to email people based on what they did rather than which list they sat in — is the feature that makes email profitable. That starts on Marketer, not Starter.
What is the cheapest way to remove the badge?
The Starter plan, listed at €16/month (about €13/month billed annually). That removes branding and gives one automation workflow. Note that it is one workflow, not unlimited — if you need more than a single sequence, Starter will frustrate you quickly.
